i first saw the audioblogging manifesto from maciej on boing boing - as i do most wonderful things, and thought it was a fun listen - very much tongue in cheek, as you can tell from the rest of his blog...
and sure to raise the dander of one (or many, many) of the few audiobloggers out there...
i am addicted to nomadic audio - books, blogs and when all else fails - music...
i drive the 3+ hrs from stamford to vermont a lot in the winter to snowboard w/ my sons...
they usually watch a dvd (or sleep) and i listen to my ipod (normally a good audiobook) which makes the time pass enjoyably (yes we could talk - but these are teenagers)...
i also commute daily from stamford to nyc (~45 minutes each way) plus then walk to my midtown office (~20 minutes each way) which allows me to enjoy ~2 hrs of audio something every workday...
now, i would love to see the blob that is an audio file contain some form of metadata that could allow me to filter, search, tag and transfer to another form of media - namely web-based-text, but that will come w/ the future if you believe in smart folks like adam curry, dave winer, dave sifry @ technorati and doug kaye...
to me it's all about the ability to nomadically consume media (mobabl)...
today, because of the ipod (i'm biased) it's audio, tomorrow - it should be video...
