note to apple: podcasting is not about the device, never was - it's about the xml format (rss w/ media enclosure) and the process (concept to production to distribution to subscription to consumption - then repeat starting at concept)...
for roughly ten months (august, 04 - june, 05) apple tried to pretend that podcasting didn't exist - basically that it was a non-issue, and now their entry via their (i)tune marketplace iteration to include podcasting directory and podcatching functionality has changed all that...
