nhl podcasting - peter puck would be proud
blackhawks check into podcasting
"The Blackhawks see greater advertising opportunities, but they don't envision charging for podcast subscriptions."
peter puck was a popular promotional icon from my teenage years, created at hanna-barbera studios, a place i would later work as head of technology...
i've played hockey most of my life, have a teenager playing high school hockey and love watching hockey no matter the level - i think it's the best team-based spectator sport going...
so after a year of no nhl hockey, i'm not the fan who's flame they need to rekindle - it's the young, casual fan that'll be hard to get back at all let alone right away - they don't have a lot invested in it...
so what better way than to bring the excitement to the fans via podcasting - interviews w/ coaches, veteran and upcoming players, plus those folks that provide the support structure for the team - this is well done and easy to get addicted to - even if you aren't a hawks fan, hope the rangers (and others) are paying attention ;)

YES!! I even had the bathe set!
I was trying to explain this to someone the other day - that NHL needs to bring him back - but I thought his name was Pucky.
And, I didn't know you worked at HB.

Hey, I was like three when Peter came out! At least I had the bath set, and remember it enough to think that they should have brought it back years ago to get the young kids involved.
And, sadly, I haven't been brought back to the fold for hockey. Could be because it's not on TV ...

I feel bad saying this but I had never came across Peter Puck until right now - and Joseph Barbera is my great uncle :). Thanks for pointing him out - I'd love to see more of Peter Puck in action, he looks like a classic.
