i've liked the concept of w3b 2.n0 ever since i first heard it - i guess because i've been around long enough in tech to know what it was like before the net, during the web 101 days, then: boom, bubble, burst, hiatus, restart and bubble2.0 - it's all been necessary to get us progressing forward...
the bummer is whenever someone tries to lay claim to concepts that are open and ubiquitous, and should stay that way to insure progress - seems silly really...
i've decided for me it'll just be - w3b 2.n0...
update: rexblog.com
"In fact, I think anyone who uses the term Web 2.0® in any way should be sued by CMP and should be prepared to spend their kid's college tuition defending themselves. I can't applaud the CMP lawyers enough for their courageous efforts to discourage everyone from using the term Web 2.0®. I, for one, am happy to adhere to their demands."
the art of sarcasm is alive and well on the inkernet, thanks to folks like rex :)
update2: tim's response - the comments are much more interesting and really tell the story...
