Part of this is the fact that we Boomers refuse to grow old, and are therefore embracing new trends as opposed to being driven by our memories. As an interesting contrast, kids have a more mature outlook. Millenials are more serious and introduced to mature analysis and topics at younger ages. The net result: shared experience = a more common ideology.
